This assembly bill was introduced by Assembly Member Nguyen on February 19, 2026. This is an act to amend Section 4540 of the Welfare and Institutions Code, relating to developmental services.

This bill would authorize the council to award a grant, subject to appropriation by the Legislature, to a statewide advocacy organization to conduct outreach and training through local meetings or forums for the purpose of providing special education pupils and their families with information regarding special education advocacy and rights.
