Julie Goana

My name is Julie Gaona and I live in Los Angeles with my husband, Rigoberto Gaona. I've been an advocate since 2001 starting in Riverside county. From 2001-2010 I worked for an independent living agency called Community Access Center. Currently, I do a lot of volunteer work as an advocate and I'm vice chair of the CAC. In addition to being on the state council board, I also volunteer for many advocate groups. I like to think of myself as a woman of many hats. Since relocating to Los Angeles County, I have been a Lanterman Regional Center client. My husband and I work together as advocates promoting independence for all people with disabilities to live to a good life no matter what.
