S.1333 - Autism Family Caregivers Act of 2023

This bill was introduced in Senate and referred to the Senate Committee on Health, Education, Labor, and Pensions on April 27, 2023. This bill grants authorization to the Secretary of Health and Human Services, acting through the Administrator of the Health Resources and Services Administration, to award grants for the purpose of offering evidence-based caregiver skills training to family caregivers of children with autism spectrum disorder or other developmental disabilities or delays, among other objectives.

To implement the program, the Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) is required to distribute grants to eligible entities, including health systems and nonprofit organizations, to conduct the training. HRSA must also create a national center to offer technical support to grant recipients and assess the program's effectiveness.
