S.3726 - Words Matter Act of 2024 (Introduced in the Senate on February 1, 2024)
This bill was introduced in the Senate on February 1, 2024. This bill removes outdated terminology by replacing mentally retarded and mental retardation with intellectual disability. The old terminology is not appropriate and can be offensive to people with disabilities.
