This bill was introduced in the Senate on May 18, 2023. This bill requires the Department of Health and Human Services to assign grants to nonprofit disability organizations to promote training programs for law enforcement officers who need to interact with individuals with disabilities. This training is intended to support safe interactions between law enforcement officers and individuals with disabilities.
