Making Friends and Staying Safe Children's Group is a time-limited group that provides education and training in the areas of social skill development and abuse prevention for children with developmental disabilities. The need for this type of intervention is supported by research which indicates children with developmental disabilities are abused at rates 2-10 times higher than their typically developing peers.
Caregiver Group:
A concurrent caregiver group follows a parallel curriculum to reinforce these skills for greater generalization across home and school environments.
Children’s Hospital Interdisciplinary Supervision and Training in Español (C.H.I.S.T.E.) targets key issues related to mental health and services provided to Latino/Hispanic clients/families.
