Cecily Lynn Betz directs the Transitions Programs at the USC UCEDD. She is the director of the South Los Angeles Youth and Young Adult Determination Center (SLAYD.) She has been actively involved at the national, state and local levels in transition planning, implementation and policymaking activities. She has been funded by national, state and local organizations for a number of projects related to children and youth with special health care needs and families. She has published extensively and is Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Pediatric Nursing, the official journal of the Society of Pediatric Nurses. Dr. Betz has served and continues to serve on many national and state professional advisory boards and currently serves as the Co-Chair of the Child and Family Expert Panel of the American Academy of Nursing of the American Nurses Association.
